Paolo Chiovelli

Paolo Chiovelli was born in Viterbo on 08/05/1977 and fishing is his passion since childhood. He began to learn fishing secret and to understand nature thanks to his father, who bring Paolo fishing really often. His interest in targeting big carp has become more intense with the advent of Carp fishing. In autumn of 1995 Paolo began with this wonderful technique, and from that day he focuses to the research of the largest wild carp in lakes and rivers of he’s region.

Paolo is a frequent visitor of the great volcanic lakes of Central Italy, where he landed numbers of big carp, becoming a famous name for the Italian Carp Fishing. Paolo’s favorite fishing style are long session during autumn and wintertime, when identification of the right fishing spot makes the difference.

His work allows him to stay in touch with many people who have his same passion, in fact since 2002 Paolo is the owner of the fishing shop "Freetime Fishing Center" dedicated to Carpfishing and Spinning, a stone's throw from the famous Bolsena lake, where of course he use to go fishing regularly. He is also dedicated to environmental protection in the field of sport fishing, to try to protect the last remaining havens of the open freshwater, just as the Lake of Bolsena.
